Method of working outdoor family shoot
An outdoor family shoot can be done when the youngest child is 6 months old. Please contact me first to see if there is still space. I will send you the link to the Booking Form. The family outdoor shoot takes place outside, for example in the city park in Eindhoven. Is rain predicted? Then we will reschedule the shoot. After the shoot I will prepare a gallery of at least 25 edited photos and a digital sample album within 2 weeks. During the ordering appointment at my studio, you choose your photos and which memory suits you best. Sophie Baby Photography is VAT-exempt.

The ordering appointment
During the ordering appointment at the studio, you have the option to purchase additional photos, an album, wall art or prints. You are not obliged to buy anything extra. Are you curious about the prices of the upgrades? You can find them here.

The first contact and booking
When you indicate your interest in an Outdoor family photo session, I first contact you. I always check to see if emailing, emailing, or calling is convenient. This way I can answer all your questions and we can discuss a tentative date. In consultation, weekend spots are also possible. Then you will receive an app with the link to the booking form and a possible date. Here you can enter all your details and information about your family. You can also indicate your top 3 photos. Once I have received the Booking Form I will send your invoice with the payment request. If paid, the booked date is final. I will send you the link to the Information Letter with the latest tips.
Clothing
When your familyshoot is scheduled, I will send you the information letter with clothing tips. Then most families start preparing. You can start looking for your clothes at home and see if anything is missing. In most cases we try to leave some time between the booking and the family shoot. That way you have plenty of time to make sure that you will look great.
The weather
During the Outdoor family shoot outside, the weather of course plays a role. I keep an eye on this from the day the shoot is booked. Will the weather be really bad and a lot of rain is predicted? Then we will reschedule the shoot for free. Keep in mind that jackets are never on the photo. So is it cold? Then put on layers.
Different poses
Are you coming to the park for your Family Shoot? Then we will do different poses. Of course we do different poses with you as a complete family. But we also take pictures of the parents separately with the children. Do you have additional wishes? Then you can always indicate this. In most cases we can include these during the shoot.

Posing
Did you know that I help you while posing? I do the poses for and with you. Often this is very reassuring and gives that extra bit of confidence to be in front of the camera. I will ask you to tell me if a pose doesn’t work for any reason. Then we adjust the pose or do something that does fit.
Speed and sickness
Due to the -in most cases- short attention span of children, this shoot only takes a short time. We try to make it playfull! Therefore, we try to complete the Outdoor family shoot in 1 to 1.5 hours. Often after that it is ready and everyone wants to relax again. Is there someone within the family sick or seriously cold? Then it is better to reschedule the shoot – free of charge. As a photographer I always think along with this and fit children do better on the photo.
Peace and laughter
During the Buien family shoot, the rule is that only the people who are going to be photographed are allowed during the shoot. This is to avoid too much fuss and distraction, which greatly increases the chances of smiles. Be patient if it doesn’t work out at once, because it actually always works out. What you better not do is panic and immediately distract your child with phone or tablet. Give the photographer a chance to get your children’s attention. What you can do is stand next to me and do that thing that you know makes your child laugh a lot. Often this works very well! To keep things calm, it is recommended not to schedule any other appointments right after the shoot.
The order appointment
After the shoot, I will start editing your family photos and making the digital version of the album and something beautiful for on the wall. When it is ready, I will send a message to schedule the ordering appointment. During the ordering appointment at the studio, I show the photos, the digital version of the album and the wall art. This is the time to choose which memory suits you best.
